Change to the Blog
In 2007, I expect Google to pay a lot more attention to spam in other languages, whether it be German, French, Italian, Spanish, Chinese, or any other language. For example, I have no patience for keyword-stuffed doorway pages that do JavaScript redirects, no matter what the language.
In an effort to control the number of spam comment entries I have set comments to members only. If someone adds a comment this will let me track back and block the internet service provider (ISP). It will also prevent members who subscribe from receiving SPAM messages. Foriegn country addresses which have not instituted SPAM controls will be block in the future. If you are impacted by one of these ISP blocks I aplogize to help resolve the issue contact your provider and have them fix the problem on thier side and submit for removal from the SPAM blocker listing.
Conformation calls to a “C” level executive responsible for technology or operations that the proper SPAM controls are in place will be made prior to block removal.
