A note on what happens with the data we receive. We have a very strict privacy policy on the web site. In addition to that policy information maintained here is protected by anti-robot data collectors. You will notice also you can not right mouse click on any of the database pages after conducting a search. Data collected and added to the database is normally publicly held meaning it is available without permission from other sources. That could be through people or publications such as owners, breeders, stud books, premium lists, or various dog registries and archives. We use a variety of sources to validate pedigree records. Every attempt is made to validate each record with two sources. This does not guarantee accuracy however it does improve our chances. All of the required fields fall into this category as do some of the optional fields (green / bold items in the list below). The other information (black / normal text) is not normally available publicly which is why we have made it optional. This data source is specifically for non-commercial use.
For bulk uploads there are several methods we can us to merge into the existing data source. Depending on the pedigree software you are using you can send the data to us in the following formats to Jim Brown through e-mail and I will merge the data into the database. For large entries this makes it easier for everyone. If you have only a single entry we have an on-line form for adding the data. Depending on the number of entries this can take from hours to days before it will show up in the data base. Have patience with me I am the only one working on this project at the moment. =D
